Hydraulic control valves for the offshore industry
There are few sectors where conditions are as tough as in the offshore industry. Salt, chemicals, the danger of explosion and 24/7 production all place very high demands on workers and machinery alike. For this reason, ACMA’s proportional hydraulic control valves are widely used in the offshore industry. Our products are the rock-solid heart of drilling rigs, winches, lift bridges, cranes and other heavy equipment. AMCA is known in the offshore industry as the control valve manufacturer due to its outstanding performance and reliability. We engineer customer-specific models and supply a wide range of standard models.
ABOUT
Extremely robust
Hydraulic engineers in the offshore sector opt for AMCA because of the extremely robust construction of our hydraulic control valves. A lifespan of 25 to 30 years is no exception.
Our control valves are manufactured from extremely high-tensile GGG60 cast iron as standard. The result is a very compact and thereby space-saving design. All internal and external rotating parts, for example in the lever mechanism, are made of stainless steel. These are designed so that sea water, acidity and dust cannot penetrate. A Protalloy anti-corrosion treatment is an additional option. This enables our load-sensing control valves to effortlessly withstand a 1,000-hour salt-spray test. We also supply hydraulic control valves with ATEX magnets for potentially explosive atmospheres.
Accurate load control
For safety reasons, precise control of heavy loads is essential in the offshore industry. Heavy winds and high waves therefore necessitate advanced solutions. A good example of this is the Geomil Constant Tensioning System.
